What is Your Super Power?

This decision regarding your super power began before you arrived on planet Earth. The planet needs each one of us to hold up our part of the grand plan and truly step into who we are meant to be. I am of the belief that each soul has come to earth with a divine purpose. Your higher self, your divine consciousness in its eternal soul form had clear intentions and heard the call, “Earth is in trouble and needs Lightworkers to save the planet, who will help?” If you are here today in modern times, you answered the call. All that is needed is for you to –Wake up! And remember your mission while you embrace your super powers! Sounds easy right? Well, it can be, but often we don’t believe, nor pay attention to the clues and nudges offered to us by our higher knowing, or our greater consciousness.

As a planet we are gaining momentum while more of humanity arises to the truth of our existence and humanities unlimited potential as creative beings. The term “Awakening” is used interchangeably with “Enlightenment” to describe a level of conscious understanding, realization and awareness. As a social psychologist and Angel Decoding practitioner, I have engaged my own super power as an intuitive and have worked with thousands of individuals in the last twenty years, in private sessions as well as in groups to teach, guide and communicate messages from the angelic realm. The happiest and most joyful of my clients have learned and studied with me, to tap into their own ability to hear, know, see, feel, and trust this guidance which emerges from within – a super power of support unique to each, blessing them on their life path.

Trusting and honoring yourself, your quirkiness and your own grand ideas is vital. No one understands your mission better than you. It was completely unconventional of me to open up to the public about my innate intuition and ability to communicate with angels and spiritual energy. I was a typical public school teacher, what was I thinking? Actually, I wasn’t thinking, I moved through the fear of what other might think of me and right to knowing my mission to teach and enlighten others on the path to spiritual growth. I remember stating with confidence, to a few well intentioned family members who were concerned for my future, “No one gets between me and what God has intended for me.” Now, as I reflect back to the last twenty years, whole populations of Light workers and holistic practitioners have emerged in our community and beyond. With a little nudge and perhaps a note of encouragement more of us will realize that we entered our earthly existence armed with mind-blowing abilities, purpose and gifts so that we can save ourselves, and establish the utopia on our planet we were commissioned to create and exist in.

What are some super powers? A recent internet search offered lists, quizzes and various suggestions, not all of them are in reference to spiritual growth, but definitely regard personal growth and development. We humans are amazing! Following is a short list of super powers we humans are currently known for, we can: embrace, compute, heal with our touch and intention, read minds, dance to delight, stand for and speak our truth, communicate with animals- plants- trees, scale hillsides and tall mountains, listen with our hearts, create life, run great distances, manifest joy, mend a broken heart, teach small children and the young at heart, rehabilitate, perform intricate surgical procedures, invent, lead others to their truth, fly, swim, counsel, empathize, synthesize, pray, play a tune, sing to enlighten- sooth or inspire, guide from above, and love in numerous ways. There are as many super powers as are humans on this earth. However, the goal is always the same, we are to unite and collaborate our efforts in order to create nirvana on earth. In my opinion, nothing directs our efforts more specifically than the element of unconditional love for self and thy neighbor.

Love thy neighbor as thyself. (Matthew 22-verse 39). I believe this is the secret of life, but this is a whole other story.

Three Keys, to a Fresh Start for 2018!

Three Keys, to a Fresh Start for 2018!

Happy New Year Angelic Friends!

Welcome to everyone who has subscribed recently to my newsletters, and a warm hello to everyone who has been following my blog for a while.

I pray you had a wonderful Holiday, took time to enjoy family and friends and to reflect on the passing year. Have you thought about what you want this new year to bring for you? What is your top priority?

In today’s blog, I offer three tips to a fresh start. Sometimes we have a tendency to repeat our old habits and then get frustrated with the same old results instead of being intentional about moving in a new direction and overcoming obstacles to your dreams and desires.

#1 Create a foundation of nurturing personal care, blended with self compassion. Our inner life, our emotions, our center of being, reflects in our outer life. When we focus on making positive “inner” shifts, we naturally influence our daily lives and those around us. A peaceful mind is equal to being and feeling loving, no matter who or what attempts to threaten that peace.

What is the top priority for yourself this year? Start where you can most benefit, placing self care and personal development as a central theme. Are you guided to work on: improving relationships, expanding your faith, creating more success in work/career, indulging in extreme self-care, centering your soul for more wisdom and inner peace, healing your body or your emotions, or opening your heart to new or renewed love?

Whatever your priority, personal care and quiet reflection nurtures your focus. Dedicate time and precious energy toward a mindful practice, such as: meditation, enjoy nature walks, engage in dance and movement, seek out gentle yoga or attempt some challenge poses to awaken new strength and flexibility, plan a personal retreat or join a group retreat, practice centered breath, or simply hold a prayerful intention to raise your consciousness and vibrational frequency.

The benefits of quiet reflective time spent with the Holy Spirit, will bloom and you will cultivate a garden of inner wisdom to support and sustain your: mind, body, heart and soul.

Recently I discovered “Focus -Concentration Music for Study and Relaxation.” I play it for background music when writing, working or meditating.

Speaking of reflective and engaging practice for personal growth, beginning February 7th, I will be offering a class/study group for those interested in the foundational spiritual concepts from A Course in Miracles! The class will run all year long! I hope you will join us. Some of the happiest people I know are students of ACIM (A Course in Miracles).

#2 Shift your limiting beliefs! We all have nagging moments of self doubt. Silly ideas such as, “I’m not good enough”, “I’ve failed”, “They don’t like me.”, these silly thoughts seem to persist in the background of our insecure mind. In order to break free from the chains of self sabotage, we must address and transmute our useless old negative beliefs. One of my favorite strategies for shifting toward positivity is outlined the ACIM. The forgiveness sequence in Lesson 63, the course teaches,
“It is your forgiveness that will bring the world of darkness to the light.”

In my work as a life and soul coach, I have witnessed sustainable life changing transformation using industry tested effective strategies to support a shift in mindset away from sabotage and limiting core beliefs.

Students of my Transformation Therapy Training (TTT) class this past summer studied ten power strategies for overcoming some of life’s biggest hurdles. When we identify with universal principles of peace, and compassion, we are igniting a catalyst for change and creating a new inner dictation, this indeed is empowering personal work.

It takes time to transmute our old habits and negative self talk. Even the strongest among us will find we return to old ways of thinking and doing from time to time. When this happens, be gentle with yourself. Being aware that you are repeating a defeating pattern is a great premise for change.

Awareness is a powerful building block to change! Call it a moment of impact, and gently ease into your new mindset. A mantra of positive affirmations can do a world of good, supporting new pathways of being and thinking.

#3 Plan some time to play and to create. We humans are by nature creative beings. All too often we get bogged down with tasks, demands, and expectations. When we reflect on the day, we find we have simply been checking off a “To-Do” list as opposed to living and enjoying our day. Change up your day, week, or month and sign up for a new class (dance, art, soul, music, instrument, or craft), start a fun a project or perhaps just turn up the music in your home creating your own new dance, it will open your energy to the joy and the freedom of letting yourself flow.

Essential oils for Health & Home

Essentials on Essential Oils

Though essential oils have been used across the globe for thousands of years, there has been a recent resurgence in their popularity. This revival might have left you wondering, what are essential oils and what can they do for me?

Essential oils are organic compounds, which have been extracted from flowers, fruit, leaves, seeds, and even bark. Each individual essential oil has its own specific properties and benefits. Essential oils are used in many cosmetic and cleaning products, but the most pure, therapeutic grade essential oils hold the most natural healing power.

The uses for essential oils are endless in your life and home. A few I enjoy using in my life include:

1. Diffuse: Diffuse lavender or frankincense essential oil to support relaxation, meditation, and to lift your spirits!

2. Cleanse: Add a few drops of lemon, tea tree, or clove essential oil to warm water and use to clean your home. This provides a toxic free, fragrant cleaner for your families overall wellbeing. (It is even safe for your furry friends!)

3. Digest: Simply start your day with a drop of lemon, orange, or grapefruit in a glass of water to detoxify your body!

4. “Beautify”: Use 1 or 2 drops of lavender, or any essential oil on your wrist for a natural perfume and healing benefits throughout the day!

5. Heal: Apply a few combined drops of lavender and peppermint essential oil to your temples to help relieve a headache.

There are infinite uses for essential oils in your life and home, and simply introducing a few at a time can impact your overall health and wellbeing wholly!

My Jungle Adventure

November 2, 2015 By mariapeth 3 Comments

My Jungle Adventure

Two weeks ago I was deeply entrenched in a jungle adventure. The journey began on U.S. soil as eleven women ranging in age from forty to sixty five years old embarked on: Maria’s Wisdom Within retreat -2015 in Riviera Maya, where topical forests and coastal jungle surround much of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.

Our main headquarter for the week was a Zoetry, all inclusive resort, elegant and exclusively pampering. We were spoiled with divinely exotic five course meals, expertly served by two or three waiters at a time. The spa amenities, services and staff were more than accommodating and excellent. We enjoyed ocean views from our expansive suites and the healing of the saltwater pool offered a deep soul cleansing experience.

As a spiritual teacher and retreat host I felt blessed to be amidst such luxury and overwhelmed with gratitude to be sharing the experience with ten soulful women who had made the decision to experience transformation on a core level. Now, enter the Jungle. Yes, the jungle adventure tour is a definite highlight of this retreat and proved to be a transformation catalyst for personal empowerment.

It is no ordinary experience when one invites a day in a topical jungle. We woke to heavy steady rain that morning. Undeterred we dressed for success: layers of swimwear, active wear, rain gear, climbing and hiking shoes. We packed snacks and bottled water, cameras and attitudes of perseverance. We were met at the front gate of the resort by our young and vibrant tour guide who promised to be a good driver with a no fuss, no coddling personality.

The two hour ride from our posh resort into the Mexican jungle brought continued rain as we sped down the narrow highway, parting miles of tropical trees. The terrain rocked our fifteen passenger van through small villages and desolate spaces. From our dry and comfortable van seats, we caught a glimpse of monkeys, many dogs, a few lizards, village huts, small run down houses of clay and a sprinkling of natives.

The reality of the day ahead came to light when we arrived at a tiny modern-day Mayan village. The two hour ride and the excitement, or rather anticipation of the encroaching adventure, found us running to the restroom. The sign on the door instructed us not to flush any paper down the toilet; plumbing is a premium in remote Mexican villages, often only made available for tourist.

Next, we scurried up a hillside leading to a cliff launch pad area, where solid repelling gear awaited. With heavy accent, our guide rapidly explained how to use the gear and how to support ourselves so we wouldn’t propel down too quickly, to an uncertain end. A test of faith and trust awaited each of us, and fear seemed to reach his icy hand upon the moment. Fully fitted with a harness and helmet, I slowed my breath before leaning off the ledge, another breath gave me time to examine the majesty of the jungle foliage, dripping from the heavy rains, awakening to a lush and mesmerizing decent. Being present in the moment was balanced with the initial dread of leaning back from the safety of the landing and letting go. I affirmed, “we are always safe”. Trust is a state of mind, and my mind was calmed by deep breathing, a prayer, and the stunning view.

Our consecutive activities for the day included two separate zip lines, one over a lagoon and another over the jungle. The zip line experience proffered a sense of freedom and power all in one, I found myself wishing for the ride to last longer, there is so much to see when one is suspended in the air with the privy of a birds eye view.

I was not prepared for the momentary terror I felt during the kayak experience, when I thought my kayak mate and I might tip over into a stretch of dense foliage, in quiet lagoon waters inhabited by alligator. Thankfully we didn’t tip over, nor did we spot any toothy friends.

Most memorable was the gentle healing underground caverns of the Cenotes, where we enjoyed a soak in pristine holy waters. After our swim, we were treated to a Mayan meal, prepared and served by the women of the village. The meal offered a collection of authentic and delightful culinary heritage and celebrated foods of Mexico.

As we left the Mayan village to our final destination in Coba, the local school children were heading home. We spied a small group of children laughing and kicking a soccer ball in a small mud drenched field by a rickety gravel road. Children at play, reminded me, we had been playing all day. Modern Psychology strongly emphasizes the importance of play for adults. Play naturally raising ones ability to see unlimited possibilities, creates emotional wellbeing, boosts productivity and supports breakthrough changes.

Our final excursion of the day was thirty minutes down the road to the Coba Ruins -Tulum. Archeologist determine the Coba settlement was occupied between 600 AD to 900 AD. Coba is considered one of the most important ruin sites on the Yucatan. Though I was tired, I was determined to experience the view of the jungle from the top of the pyramid.

Small gravel roads lead to the main ancient pyramid in Coba, no vans or cars allowed on these sacred grounds. Taking some shelter from the heavy rains, we chose to ride on a bicycle taxi through widening puddles for the mile and a half journey to our climb. I suggested to the group that the climb could represent the intentions for our greatest desires in the future. I approached the 126 steps of rugged jutting stone with a “one step at a time” mindset. One of our team members cheered me on as I climbed, and the encouragement was the very essence of love my soul needed to succeed. To speak of the view from top, is unequivocal to the actual breath taking view. You will simply have to experience it for yourself.

In life, we may experience a few rainy days along with many challenges and new terrain. Rain brings with it a promise to cool and cleanse us, while contributing to a soulful devotion of calm. At times we face fear and uncertainty, yet if we are willing to open to faith, put on a bit of appropriate gear and listen to instruction from one who is experienced and wiser, we are sure to persevere. Above all, in this big world, we are never alone, and nothing is sweeter than encouragement form a friend to inspire confidence to continue on, one step at a time. In the end, remember to look back with gratitude and forward with the greatest of intention and always remember to take time to play.

My Friends, I pray you will make time for extraordinary memories, and to relish in personal breakthroughs which promise to blaze and transform your soul, forever.
